Italian Foreign Affairs Minister Antonio Tajani hosts the “Shades of Blue” exhibit December 10th, 2024

Italian Foreign Affairs Minister-Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani hosted the “Shades of Blue” exhibit at Rome’s Farnesina (Foreign Affairs Ministry).

The exhibit itself will take place at the Italian Soccer Federation’s training center near Florence, Coverciano.   Guest speakers included the Federation’s president Gabriele Gravina, Italian head coach (men’s squad) Luciano Spalletti and the national team manager and former 2006 World Cup champion, goalkeeper Gianluigi “Gigi” Buffon. 

 
The exhibit was a trip down memory lane as Italy’s four World Cup trophies were on hand as well as other recent--and past--soccer memorabilia regarding the “Azzurri”, the Italian national soccer teams (encompassing also the women’s squads).   

The exhibit was also twofold as Minister Tajani would like to use sports diplomacy as a way of promoting the Italian brand abroad, thanks in part to its many soccer victories.  On hand for the presentation were also EU Embassies as well as representatives of the G7.
