Italy’s Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani meets his Argentina counterpart Diana Mondino in Rome, February 2nd, 2024

Italy’s Foreign Affairs Minister and deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani met with his Argentine counterpart, Diana Mondino, at Rome’s Farnesina (the Italian Foreign Affairs ministry).  Mondino is Argentina’s Minister for Foreign Relations and International Commerce.













 
The visit has come about as Argentina’s newly-elected President Javier Milei is currently in Rome during his very first visit to an EU country regarding bilateral talks with his country. 











 
Milei also met with fellow Argentine Pope Francis, Italian President Sergio Mattarella and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

Jannik Sinner, the 22 year-old Italian tennis sensation, was honored in Rome by Italy’s President Sergio Mattarella, February 1st, 2024

2024 Australian Open winner Jannik Sinner was honored by Italy’s President Sergio Mattarella, February 1st, 2024.
















The special ceremony took place in the “Hall of Mirrors” of the Quirinale palace, the official Rome residence of Italian presidents.

















Sinner won this year’s Australian Open by defeating Russia’s Danil Medvedev in the final.















































On hand for the event were also Sinner’s fellow 2023 Davis Cup winners as well as important dignitaries such as Giovanni Malago’, the president of the Italian National Olympic Committee and Italy’s Minister for Sport, Andrea Abodi.
