2016 Nobel Peace Prize winner and Colombia’s president, Juan Manuel Santos, in Rome during his meetings with Pope Francis, Italian president Sergio Mattarella and here with Italy’s brand new Prime Minister, Paolo Gentiloni, at Palazzo Chigi.  Gentiloni was the first foreign leader that Santos met after winning the Nobel.

“Fight Against Corruption, Economic Growth and Italian Companies” conference in Rome, 13/12/2016.


The “Fight Against Corruption, Economic Growth and Italian Companies” conference took place in Rome.

On hand for the conference was the Italian anti-corruption “tzar”, judge Raffaele Cantone and his Milan “Clean Hands” judge, Francesco Greco.  The conference was held on anti-corruption day around the world.  Present at the conference were several foreign ambassadors to Italy, including John Phillips of the U.S., as well as the Secretary-General of the FAM, Elisabetta Belloni.

The E.U.’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Federica Mogherini, was in Rome for the “Mediterranean Dialogues” conference together with the U.N.’s Special Envoy to Syria, Steffan De Mistura as well as Italy’s former Italian President, Giorgio Napolitano and the (now) former Italian Foreign Affairs Minister, Paolo Gentiloni.
