The Wassily Kandinsky art exhibit is now on at Rome’s Palazzo Bonaparte, September 15th, 2026

The Wassily (or Vassily in Italian) Kandinsky art exhibit is currently on at Rome’s central Palazzo Bonaparte (Napoleon’s mother once lived there).

Kandinsky was a Russian painter and theorist who was born in Moscow in 1866.   He was a pioneer of abstract art and had co-founded the Munich-based Blaue Reiter group of artists in 1911.  He died in 1944 in Paris.  

 
The Rome exhibit has up to 70 works of art by the artist with many paintings from the Centre Pompidou in Paris.

 
The exhibit runs until February 14^th, 2027.
