Rome’s mayor leads a candlelight vigil at the Coliseum for the war in the Ukraine, February 25th, 2022.
Rome’s mayor Roberto Gualtieri led a candlelight vigil from City Hall to the nearby Coliseum for the war in the Ukraine. As a sign of respect the Coliseum was lit up with the colors of the Ukrainian flag.
Democratic Party leader Enrico Letta and other politicians were joined by several thousand Romans as a sign of supporting the plight of the Ukrainian population.

Alda Fendi’s Rhinoceros Museum plays host to Picasso’s “Young Woman”, February 14th, 2022.
Alda Fendi, of the famous Roman haute couture fashion company, the “Sorelle Fendi”, was on hand to proudly present Pablo Piccaso’s 1909 oil painting “Young Woman” at her Rhinoceros Museum (the museum is located in the area where the She-Wolf saved the twins Romulus and Remus as they were floating in a basket on Rome’s famous Tiber river).
Picasso’s painting, on loan from St. Petersburg’s famous Hermitage State Museum, is also home to approximately 35 paintings by the Spanish artist (out of a total of 35,000 works of art by Picasso).
The exhibit, which is free, also contains information
on Picasso’s life and runs until May 22nd, 2022.
