Scenes of the Palatine Hill (one of Rome’s seven famous hills) and where
the emperors used to have their palaces (and from that area we have words such
as “palace”, “palacio”, “palais”, etc.) and the Roman Forum, with the adjoining
Coliseum.
Indeed a pity
that many tourists though use the Roman Forum as a picnic area (they sit on the
ruins and eat their sandwiches)! Heaven
forbid if someone were to do the same thing on JFK’s tomb at the Arlington
cemetery…
