The Eternal City and its citizens and tourists are enjoying day-long activities starting with historic reenactments (such as ancient army regiments which have come in from Spain for the event) at the Circus Maximus which is located directly in front of the Palatine Hill, one of Rome’s seven famous hills, where in 753 B.C. Romulus founded what would one day go on to be the center of the world’s greatest empire.
