Rome’s Farnesina, the Italian Foreign Affairs Ministry, hosted a conference to discuss the start of the historic 106th “Giro d’Italia” bicycle competition (Italy’s version is only 4 years younger than the “Tour de France”).
The event starts on May 6th, 2023 and will end on May 28th and in the Eternal City. On hand to discuss the event, was Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, his colleague Daniela Santanche’, the Minister of Tourism, the President of the “Expo 2030 Promotion Committee”, Ambassador Giampiero Massolo, as well as the “The Shark” himself, Vincenzo Nibali, who won the race in 2016.

As a way of also promoting Italian know-how to the rest of the world in light of this all-important sporting event guests at the conference also included representatives of the many foreign embassies that are located in Rome.
