The Italian Foreign Ministry (aka Farnesina) held an international conference, “Judicial Diplomacy at the Service of Peace and International Security: Italy’s Commitment in Fighting Corruption” which included three key government ministers: Antonio Tajani (Foreign Affairs), Matteo Piantedosi (Home Ministry) and Carlo Nordio (Justice Ministry).
Italy is currently ranked 42nd in the world corruption index (the lower the number the least corrupt a nation is). Foreign diplomats stationed in Italy were on hand as was the top security brass including General Luzi of the Carabinieri, Italy’s para-military police, and his many colleagues in other branches of Italy’s national security service.
