Pope Francis’s blessing “Urbi et Orbi” at St. Peter’s square December 25th, 2022.

Pope Francis held his Christmas Day “Urbi et Orbi” (to Rome and to the World) blessing today in front of thousands of tourists and followers at St. Peter’s square.

The Pope’s noontime blessing from the main balcony of St. Peter’s façade was preceded by the national anthems of both the Vatican and Italy by the marching bands of Italy’s armed forces units, including the Carabinieri.   

 

And unlike the atrocious weather conditions that are currently plaguing many parts of North America the Eternal City today was graced by a temperature of 20° Celsius (above).
