Rome’s magnificent Pantheon unveils some of its secrets, November 24th, 2025

Rome’s Pantheon (it was built between 27 and 25 B.C. during the early years of Augustus’s reign) unveiled to a selected few a new area, the Basilica of Neptune.

The large circular temple’s claim to fame is not only its cupola, amongst the largest in the world (and with its large and uncovered hole), but it's also the burial place of Italy’s kings and the late, great artist-architect Raphael (who had died in Rome).
