Mario Testino’s “A Beautiful World” photo exhibit at Rome’s Palazzo Bonaparte, May 24th, 2024

Peruvian-born photographer Mario Testino is currently in Rome for his May 25th, 2024 exhibit “A Beautiful World”.  Testino, who was born in 1954 in Lima of both Irish and Italian descent, moved to London in 1976 where he began to work in the fashion and portrait world.  His work has graced the covers of magazines such as Vogue and Vanity Fair.

A member of the OBE (Order of the British Empire), Testino has photographed throughout the course of 40 years famous personalities such as Kate Moss, Madonna, Naomi Campbell and also several members of the British Royal Family, including the late Princess Diana.

Testino, who was on hand today for the press conference (on the right in the pictures) at Rome’s central Palazzo Bonaparte (Napoleon’s mother once lived there), began working on this current project back in 2017 as he travelled to 30 different countries.  Seventy photos are at the Rome exhibit which runs until August 25th, 2024.
