Angelino Alfano meets his Greek counterpart, Nikos Kotzias, December 20th, 2017

Italy’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Angelino Alfano, met with his Greek counterpart, Nikos Kotzias, in Rome’s magnificent Villa Madama, on December 20^th, 2017.  

The two ministers held a press conference at Villa Taverna after having signed bi-lateral agreements between the two countries.

Princess Elettra Marconi, the 87 year-old daughter of Guglielmo Marconi, at the Italian Embassy to the Holy See in Rome during the conference on the evolution of the radio.  
 

In the picture with Elettra is her son (next to her), the Prefect of the Vatican’s Communications, Mons. Edoardo Vigano’, and next to him Italian Ambassador Pietro Sebastiani.

It was also a way to celebrate the February 12^th, 1931 event when Pope Pius XI used a microphone which had been designed by Marconi to transmit for the very first time the Pope’s message to the rest of the world through the us of Vatican Radio.

50 year anniversary of Italian-Latin American relations, December 13th, 2017

The Italian Foreign Affairs Ministry celebrated the 50th anniversary of Italian-Latin American relations with a conference in Rome with the many ambassadors to Italy from the Latin American area.
