The Vatican’s Press Center organized the press conference on the Vatican’s Holy Jubilee (the event takes place every 25 years in Rome) and its many events throughout 2025, including the world of performers and culture.
Pope Francis should have been on February 17th at the Cinecitta’ film studios, which had been founded under Benito Mussolini (but he's been instead in the hospital for more than a week now with pneumonia). Federico Fellini as well as Martin Scorsese and other famous film directors shot some of their films there.
The moderator of the conference was Cardinal Jose’ Tolentino de Mendoca, the Vatican’s Prefect for Culture and Teaching. Keynote speakers included Barbara Jatta, the director of the Vatican Museums, Senator Lucia Borgonzoni, Under-Secretary of the Italian Cultural Heritage Ministry, Ambassador Umberto Vattani of the Venice International University and Lina Di Domenico, the Justice Ministry’s deputy-chief of Italy’s penitentiaries.
