Raffaello (Raphael), the artist from Urbino who died
at the young age of 37 in Rome is being celebrated this year during the 500th
anniversary of his death. As part of
the celebrations, Barbara Jatta, the director of the world-famous Vatican
Museums, held a one-hour talk on the artist’s magnificent art at Rome’s
Auditorium as part of the “Art Lessons” series.
A multitude of conferences and exhibits will be taking
place this year on the great Renaissance painter whose works also adorn the Vatican’s
halls, including the massive exhibit in
March at Rome’s “Scuderie del Quirinale”.
