Pope Francis’s “Urbi et Orbi”, December 25th, 2023

Pope Francis held his yearly Christmas “Urbi et Orbi” ceremony (to Rome and to the World) from the balcony of St. Peter’s Basilica.

Thousands showed up for the 12 noon speech in which the pontiff talked about the ongoing conflicts around the world and, in his words, the “futile logic of war”.

The speech was preceded by the pageantry of Italy’s police forces.
