Sebastião Salgado at Rome’s MAXXI museum for a talk on the world’s environment, July 21^st, 2021. 

Seventy-seven year-old Sebastião Salgado was on hand for a talk at Rome’s MAXXI museum on environmental issues. He was accompanied by his wife of 54 years, Lelia Wanick Salgado. 

The Brazilian and Magnum Photo world famous photographer discussed the ongoing protection of his beloved Amazon forest (his new book is out on the subject) and worsening environmental-global warming issues with Italian journalist Mario Calabresi.  The event was hosted by Giovanni Melandri, a former Italian cultural minister and the current president of the MAXXI museum.  

 

What a nite, July 11th, 2021!

What a nite when on July 11th, 2021, and 39 years after (on the very same day) when Italy won its 3rd World Cup title in Spain, as Italy won its 2nd European championship title against England in those dreaded and deadly penalty-kick shootouts at Wembley's stadium!
