Italy’s Foreign Minster, Angelino Alfano, met
with the Mexican Secretary of External Relations, Luis Videgaray Caso, at the
Farnesina in Rome, the Foreign Affairs Ministry.
The talks centered on bi-lateral trade,
tourism and also cinema production in both countries (some 150,000 Italians
have visited Mexico this year).
Italy's Prime Minister, Paolo Gentiloni, met with the Lebanese Prime Minister, Saad Hariri, at Rome's Palazzo Chigi.
Hariri, 47, is the son of the country's former leader, Rafiq Hariri, who in 2005 was blown up by a suicide bomber. Twenty-one other people died along with Hariri Sr. That would explain why security at Palazzo Chigi was rather tight, including police dogs who sniffed their way around the building.
